Who we are

MotoristMap is operated by Signal Vector LLC. This policy explains what data MotoristMap collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@motoristmap.com.

Data we collect

Account identity. When you sign in with Google or Apple (or create an account on our website), we receive and store your email address, your name if provided, and the username you choose.
Driving data you record. Drives you record in the app — GPS tracks, the routes and lists you create, and drive metadata such as start time and duration — are stored on MotoristMap servers.
App settings. Settings you change in the app (for example theme and units) are synced to your account.
Usage analytics. We use Amplitude to understand how the app is used: interaction events (screens viewed, buttons tapped) with basic device information such as device model and operating system version. Analytics events never contain GPS coordinates, we do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA), and IP-based location tracking is disabled.
Server logs. Like most services, our servers keep basic request logs for security and debugging.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide and improve MotoristMap — to store and display your drives, routes, and lists, keep your settings in sync, and understand which features are useful. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show ads.

Third-party processors

We share data with a small number of service providers that help us run MotoristMap:

Apple and Google handle sign-in.
Amplitude processes usage analytics (see above).
Mapbox provides map display and route calculation — the coordinates you view or route between are sent to Mapbox to render maps and compute directions.
Hosting infrastructure providers run our servers and databases.

Public content

Lists you publish are visible to other users under your username until you unpublish them. Everything else you record is private to your account.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account in the app deactivates the account, unpublishes your public lists, and signs you out immediately. Your data remains stored on MotoristMap servers after deletion, and you can reactivate the account — with your data intact — by signing back in on the mobile app. If you would like further removal of your data, contact us at info@motoristmap.com.

Cookies

The MotoristMap website uses only functional cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF cookie to protect forms. Your theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

MotoristMap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MotoristMap evolves. The "Last updated" date above is the effective date of the current version; changes will be posted on this page.
