Acceptance & the service

These terms are an agreement between you and Signal Vector LLC, the operator of MotoristMap. By creating an account or using the MotoristMap app or website, you accept these terms. MotoristMap is a service for planning, recording, and sharing scenic drives: you can build routes, record drives, and publish lists of routes for other users to discover.

Accounts

You sign in with your Google or Apple account (or a username and password created on the website). You are responsible for activity that happens on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.

Safety

MotoristMap is a planning tool, not a driving instructor. Do not interact with the app while driving. Always obey traffic laws and posted limits, and drive to the conditions. Routes, curve alerts, and lookahead information may be inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete — they are provided for planning convenience only and must never be treated as driving instruction. You drive at your own risk.

Your content

You own the routes, drives, and lists you create. Publishing a list makes it visible to other users under your username. By publishing, you grant MotoristMap a license to host and display that content as part of the service. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive. We may unpublish or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these terms.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from the app's Settings screen. Deletion deactivates the account, unpublishes your public lists, and signs you out immediately; your data remains stored on our servers, and the account can be reactivated by signing back in on the mobile app. See the Privacy Policy's "Retention & deletion" section for details.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

MotoristMap is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Vector LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including damages arising from reliance on navigation, route, or road information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the "Last updated" date above is the effective date of the current version. Continued use of MotoristMap after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@motoristmap.com.
